Most of the questions asked during job interview are nonsense.
Still – nobody will give up the interviews entirely. So you have to think about questions that make sense.
There are some. And there is one, most important one as Lou Adler has advised. You might not ask anything else, if you ask this and go quite deep into. You don’t want to test the stress-tolerance of your candidate nor see how quickly he/she reacts to difficult questions. Your main goal is to find out, if he/she is great candidate for your vacancy.
For this, just ask this question: What will be your biggest challenge on this job? What have you done which is most similar to this? Please describe both in detail.
And that’s it. In 12-14 mins you will have most essential information to make your decision about this candidates.
